EPFL

EWHA Womans University

Ewha Womans University is a private women’s research university in Seoul, South Korea. It was originally founded as Ewha Haktang on May 31, 1886, by missionary Mary F. Scranton. Currently, Ewha Womans University is one of the world’s largest female educational institutes and one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea.

Hanyang University

Hanyang University is a private research university in Seoul and Ansan, South Korea. Hanyang derives from the former name of the capital Seoul used during the Joseon period. The university was founded in 1939 as an engineering school, and was the country’s first private college to offer engineering and architecture programs.

HEIA-FR

Fribourg has a long history of professional education dating back to 1896, when the first vocational school opened with a class of 12 apprentice mechanics and stonecutters. Almost 120 years later, in 2015, the 1’000- student milestone was reached for the first time. The HEIA-FR is a renowned and dynamic center for higher professional education and training, as evidenced by the steady growth of its student body. Its departments address the technological challenges of the future.

Sungkyunkwan University

Sungkyunkwan University is a private research university with campuses in Seoul and Suwon, South Korea. The institution traces its origins to the historic Sungkyunkwan founded in 1398 in central Seoul. As the foremost educational institution during the Joseon period, it was governed by the great code of the state administration with royal ascent. By a resolution of the Progressive Intellectuals and Confucian scholars, it was restructured as a comprehensive university in the mid-20th century, and has since greatly expanded its academic offerings.

Swissnex is the Swiss global network connecting Switzerland and the world in education, research and innovation. The Science & Technology Office Seoul is a section of the Embassy of Switzerland in Korea and integral part of Swissnex, promoting Swiss science, technology, innovation and higher education.
